Crafty me...

As a child and teenager, I loved to draw, paint, and create. While I was pregnant with Jacob, I was a scrapbooking fanatic. Then baby came and life changed. One would think that with children around, creativeness would run wild, but life intervened and the fire diminished. So now, 8 years later I am grasping at anything I can bring back into my life to ignite the flame again. Enter my new sewing machine:


A gift from my beautiful hubby, an early Christmas present. I had been eyeing and drooling over this machine every time we went into Walmart. Now, I brought my sister's machine home with me after we visited Florida, but once Tom saw how serious I was about it, he wanted to get me the one I wanted. Such a sweet man! So the collection of fabric begins. I have gone through all of our closets, the linen closet, and the nearest Goodwill. I found some old sheets and curtains that have now been washed and folded, waiting to be created into something great!
