My dad retired this year and was having a party on November 7. I received the invite in the mail and put it on the counter, knowing that I would be unable to go. However, as things turned out, the boys and I ended up driving to Florida! It took us 2 days to drive there, scratch that, 2 very long days to drive there, but it was well worth it. Andi and Jenn knew we were coming, but that was it. Dad and Mom were completely surprised when we just showed up, it was great. The party was a hit and I was thrilled to see so many people I haven't' seen in so long. Just want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to my dad!
The day after the party, we drove down to visit Big Tom and Denise. We had a wonderful time with them. The boys even got to ride on one of their horses, my little cowboys!
I spent a lot of time with my nephew, Little Baby Ryan, as we so fondly refer to him. I also got to see my big sis prego! She looks adorable and I can't wait to meet my other nephew after he is born. Mom and Dad will be coming for a visit, arriving on Thanksgiving day and staying for 10 days. It is always nice to have more family around for the holidays, too bad we can't fly everyone out to enjoy a white Christmas!
Jacob and Uncle Mac having a very serious conversation.
Jacob and his Mimi that he loves so much!
Me and two of my most favorite women in the world.
Proud papa!

On the way back home, we made a stop in St. Louis to go to the top of the Arch. The boys were not super impressed, but it was an experience I'm glad they had.
